A foot injury pushed Dominican guard Andres Feliz to the sidelines.

Real Madrid released a medical update on Friday, following the player’s early exit from the game against Partizan Mozzart Bet in WiZink Center on Thursday night.

“Following tests carried out today on Andrés Feliz by the Real Madrid Medical Department, the player has been diagnosed with a rupture of the plantar fascia in his right foot. His progress will be monitored.”

After the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 2 affair, head coach Chus Mateo shared his initial view of the injury.

“He is going to be out for a while because it seems to be the plantar fascia. We will see tomorrow during the tests if there is an injury in the fascia,” he said.

Feliz, 27, averaged 1.0 points and 1.5 assists per contest over his first two EuroLeague showings.

In contrast to the new addition to the injury list, Usman Garuba (foot) might return within the next few games.

“I believe he is going to be out for a short period,” Mateo referred to the 22-year-old big, “We hope to recover him soon.”

Moving deeper into the 2024-25 schedule, Los Blancos collide with Surne Bilbao in Round 3 of Spain’s Liga Endesa on Sunday, hoping to improve to 2-1 in the domestic league.
