After leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv due to personal concerns regarding the current war in Israel, Jordan Loyd has officially come back to AS Monaco, signing a deal until 2026 as previously anticipated by Eurohoops.
Jordan Loyd expressed his joy. “Obviously, I have had countless memories in Monaco. My daughter was born here, I have brothers for life within the team. Coming back here is really special. For me, it was a no-brainer, I am very grateful to have this opportunity”, he first said to the official club’s website.
“The Monaco fans have always been close to my heart, they have given me and my family so much love. I have had a lot of messages, I am very happy about it. Now, my goal is to integrate myself as best I can into this collective, doing what I know how to do to take the team as far as possible and go for the EuroLeague title”, he continued his statement.
It’s a homecoming transfer for the American guard, who also played with Crvena Zvezda, Valencia, and Zenit Saint Petersburg previously in his overseas journey. With Monaco, he was named MVP of the LNB Finals 2023, and he will return after shortly leaving in the summer.
