A key option emerged for Olympiacos, heading to the first two-game week of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.

Nikola Milutinov practiced without limitations on Monday. He is expected to join the Reds in game action over the next few days, perhaps versus EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Tuesday or against Anadolu Efes in Istanbul’s Basketball Development Center on Friday.

Due to an ankle sprain, the 30-year-old center has yet to debut in the new season, following a bronze medal with the senior national team of Serbia in the 2024 Olympic Games.

He reunited with Olympiacos before the 2023-24 season. The first spell with the storied Greek club lasted from 2015 to 2020. Over a total of six years protecting the paint for the Reds, he won the Greek League in 2016, the Greek Cup in 2024, and the Greek Super Cup in 2023 and 2024.

Besides Keenan Evans (knee surgery) expected to sit out for several more months and Nigel Williams-Goss (hamstring) recently forced to the sidelines, the injury list is now clear for head coach Giorgos Bartzokas.

After a loss to Fenerbahce Beko in Ulker Sports Arena in Round 1, Olympiacos bounced back by defeating Zalgiris in SEF in Round 2 and improving to 1-1 in Europe’s premier club continental competition. At the domestic level, a 2-0 record is tied with Panathinaikos Aktor and AEK Betsson on top of the standings of the Stoiximan GBL Regular Season.
