Fenerbahce didn’t follow on its 2-0 unbeaten start to the EuroLeague season, losing to Crvena Zvezda. The Serbian team displayed a rolling performance, confirming great form and going up 3-0 in the standings. Some home fans even left the arena before the end of the game.

In the post-game press conference, Sarunas Jasikevicius displayed his frustration. “Of course we want our fans to support us. But we are also responsible for the performance we put on the court and the game we present to them. So it’s a two-way street. Of course, we want the support of the fans. But to be honest, if I were a fan I would have left the arena early today too”, he commented.

The Lithuanian head coach went also into detail analyzing his team’s defeat. “[Crvena Zvezda] came here with a great desire to win and they were better than us in many areas. They played faster and were more willing to play 50-50 balls. Despite their style of play and the points they found in transition, it was incredible that we kept them below 80″, he also congratulated Fenerbahce‘s defense.

Previously, speaking in the post-game flash interview on EuroLeague TV, the Lithuanian head coach kept things clear. “I wasn’t able to coach well and we weren’t able to show a good team performance. There’s nothing else to say”, he also stated previously.
