The day started with reports from Serbia about Filip Petrusev leaving Olympiacos and joining Crvena Zvezda, those reports were shut down on social media by Petrusev’s agent Misko Raznatovic, however Crvena Zvezda coach Giannis Sfairopoulos was even more direct.
During the media day before the upcoming EuroLeague game against Barcelona, the Greek coach accused those reports for “directed journalism”.
As Sfairopoulos said when asked by local media: “I respect your job and journalism. Your job is very important and always journalism is helpful for the truth to surface. Unfortunately, like in every profession, we have some directed journalism that spreads this news which is completely a lie in a period where we are 3-0 (in the EuroLeague standings). Thank God this is the minority, and this minority cannot hurt your profession in total. As you understand we are not thinking about adding nobody”.
To be exact, Crvena Zvezda is currently the only team after three rounds in the EuroLeague that still has a perfect record.
