After a great start to the season, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv’s Tamir Blatt has encountered a setback.
The Israeli club officially announced that the 27-year-old point guard sustained a hamstring injury and is expected to miss about three weeks of action.
“Tamir Blatt, who was injured in the game against Gilboa/Galil, underwent an MRI today. He is suffering from a small tear in his hamstring. Expected recovery time: about three weeks,” as reported by Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Blatt spent 17 minutes on the court against Gilboa/Galil, scoring 12 points and dishing out seven assists.
In this season’s four EuroLeague appearances, he recorded an average of 12.8 points and nine assists per game, with an average PIR of 19.
