Carlik Jones will be sidelined for ten days.

Following Sport Klub, several more Serbian outlets confirmed the recovery timeline for the 26-year-old point guard of Partizan Mozzart Bet on Thursday.

The naturalized international player of South Sudan was forced to an early exit from the game versus Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Belgrade Arena on Wednesday evening. After hurting his ankle, he did not play through the last six minutes of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 5 contest.

The scheduled MRI, referred to by experienced head coach Zeljko Obradovic in the postgame press conference after the home loss, did not reveal a serious injury.

Projected to be sidelined for ten days, Jones will be unavailable for the upcoming two-game week of Europe’s premier club continental competition, specifically the Round 6 home game against AS Monaco next Wednesday and the Round 7 visit to Fenerbahce Beko at Ulker Sports Arena next Friday. Forced down to 2-3 in Round 5, Partizan currently sits half a game outside the postseason seeds of the standings.

Introducing himself to the EuroLeague following 12 games played in the NBA and displaying his talents in China last season, Jones tallied 10.0 points, 4.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 0.8 steals, and 0.4 blocks per contest over five appearances. In the AdmiralBet ABA League, he is up to 14.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, pushing his side to a 5-0 start in the Regular Season of the regional league.
