After losing to Real Madrid in WiZink Center on Thursday, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet was forced down to 3-2 in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.

“They are in a good rhythm and we allowed them to play. They created a lot of open shots and grabbed rebounds. In some moments, it seemed to me that we overestimated them. We respected them too much,” Milos Teodosic said on the Round 5 affair, “We need to forget this game as soon as possible. We have a tough schedule over the next two weeks.”

In a quick turnaround to Round 6 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, the team coached by Giannis Sfairopoulos will stay on the road and take on Zadar on Saturday. Back to Europe’s premier club continental competition, the next game is in Lithuania against Zalgiris on Wednesday. Back home to face defending champion Panathinaikos Aktor in Round 7 of the Regular Season in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall next Friday.

With Nemanja Nedovic expected to bounce back into action, Joel Bolomboy will instead remain sidelined for several weeks due to an injury in his right knee. The Belgrade outfit securing the services of Filip Petrusev for the remainder of the 2024-25 season was a positive reaction, as noted by Teodosic.

“He will improve our game for sure. He is a great player who does a lot of things on the floor,” mentioned the 37-year-old guard, “We really missed Joel tonight. Petrusev will help us a lot.”
