Dan Oturu and Jordan Nwora were the first among equals with 16 points each as Anadolu Efes strolled in Berlin and got the 86-70 win over ALBA, getting a 4-3 record in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings.
Rodrigue Beabois with 14 points, Dogus Ozdemiroglu with 10, and Elijah Bryant with 10 points also helped to get the job done.
Shane Larkin was missing again for Anadolu Efes, however, ALBA had just 11 players available for the game missing once more injured Malte Delow, Jonas Mattiseck, and Matt Thomas, while Khalifa Koumadje has been suspended by the club until further notice after failing a doping control test in the German Cup.
Martin Hermannson scored 24 and Trevion Williams had 16 points which didn’t hurt Efes and the Germans remain at the bottom of the standings with a 1-6 record.
Easy task for Efes
Efes led early by eight (21-13) and closed the first period up by six (25-19). The advantage of the guests jumped to 14 points (37-23) after back-to-back threes by Rodrigue Beaubois and ALBA tried to react, making it a six-point game (37-31).
The answer is a 14-2 run (51-33) by Efes and the first half ended with Hermannson reaching the 11-point mark and making the score 51-35. Meanwhile, Oturu already had 14 points for the guests.
Nothing changed in the second half with Efes leading by 19 (61-42). The third period ended with the score being 68-52 and nothing could change. Efes got a 21-point difference (75-54) and there was no coming back.
