Playing against Partizan Mozzart Bet is never easy, but Fenerbahce made it look like it was. The end result was 89-72 as the home side dominated the game from start to finish.
Nigel Hayes-Davis with 24 points was the top scorer of the winning side, Tarik Biberovic added 17, Devon Hall scored 12 and Wade Baldwin finished the night with 13 points and eight assists.
“We’ve got to take the good with the bad,” Hayes-Davis said after the game to EuroLeague TV. “Coach was talking about we’ve got to run faster, we’ve got to push the ball more – we did a good job of that. More importantly, we have to do better defensively, starting with me”.
On the losing side, Frank Ntilikina had 14 points and Aleksej Pokusevski scored 10.
Fenerbahce with a 5-2 record is tied for the second spot in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings, while Partizan dropped to 2-5.
Three-pointer onslaught by Fenerbahce
The hosts started the game by leading 22-15 after the first period, they jumped to a 14-point advantage (41-27) and the halftime score was 44-31.
Partizan has just 1/5 of threes in the first 20 minutes of action, compared to 10/16 threes by Fenerbahce, which started the second half with back-to-back threes by Hayes-Davis to push the lead to 17 points (50-34).
Nothing changed until the end of the period with Fenerbahce having 16/28 threes and the 67-53 lead.
The hosts managed to make it an 18-point game (73-55) and cruised until the end.
