After sitting out one game in France’s Betclic Elite, Edwin Jackson has been ruled out for approximately six weeks due to a hamstring injury.

LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne updated his injury status on Wednesday.

Jackson, 35, was hurt during the recent home game against FC Bayern Munich. He had three points behind 1/2 triples over nearly 12 minutes in Round 7 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.

Switching to Round 7 of the Betclic Elite Regular Season, he was ruled out for the meeting with Cholet in Astroballe, joining Paris Lee (ankle) on the injury list. Out for around six additional weeks, he will miss several more contests across the continental and domestic leagues.

At the top of his seventh journey in Europe’s premier club continental competition and third as a member of ASVEL, he tallied 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game over seven appearances, including two starts. His efforts resulted in a 2-5 start for the team coached by Pierric Poupet, three games outside the Play-In Showdown zone.

Following the loss to Cholet on Sunday, ASVEL was forced down to 5-2 by the new leaders of the standings of the top-flight division of France. Jackson averaged 11.2 points per contest over six games at the domestic level.

Before the 2023-24 season, the native of Pau returned for a third stint. Back in 2007, he started his professional career with the team based in Villeurbanne and had the first reunion during the 2019-20 season.
