Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet at home against ALBA Berlin is simply the favorite and the game’s scenario didn’t include any twist.

The final score was 92-71 with the Serbs getting the win for a solid 4-4 record in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings, while the Germans remain at the bottom with 1-7.

Codi Miller-McIntyre with 15 points, six rebounds, and eight assists was the first among equals for Zvezda, as Filip Petrusev (14 p.), Nikola Kalinic (13 p.), Isaiah Canaan (12 p.), Mika Daum (10 p.), and Uros Plavsic (10 p.) also scored in double digits.

“We did a great job and we were focused for 40 minutes, on other games we got a lead but lost it in the fourth quarter”, said Miller-McIntyre.

Gabriele Procidav with 25 points and Trevion Williams with 16 were the top scorers of ALBA but after the first half, their scoring was a non-factor in the game.

Easy night in Pionir

It was an easy night for Zvezda, starting with a 19-9 lead and having a nine-point distance (23-14) at the end of the quarter.

ALBA reacted with a 10-3 run to make it a two-point game (26-24) but couldn’t get any closer. Zvezda got again a double-digit lead (40-30) and closed the first half up by nine (41-32).

Procida with 12 points and Tim Schneider with 10 in the first 20 minutes of action were a great one-two punch, but ALBA didn’t have much else still missing injured Justin Bean, Matt Thomas, Jonas Mattiseck, and Malte Delow, while Khalifa Koumadje remains suspended.

Zvezda’s lead was extended to 15 points (55-40) and the hosts entered the last period with the score being 63-50. Nothing major changed until the end.
