Following a brief stint with Cholet, Andre Roberson stayed in France and signed a deal with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.

His addition to the team coached by Pierric Poupet was announced on Friday.

A former Colorado player in the NCAA, he started the 2024-25 season with 10.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per contest over eight appearances between the FIBA Europe Cup, the Qualification Rounds of the Basketball Champions League and France’s Betclic Elite. Last Sunday, he recorded 19 points alongside five rebounds and four assists in a win against his next team in Astroballe.

After helping in shaping a perfect 5-0 record in Group C of the Europe Cup Regular Season and getting the lead in the top-flight division of France behind a 5-1 start, his short-term contract based on injury relief for Aaron Wheeler expired on Tuesday. The next stop corresponds to a similar reaction by ASVEL to an injury to Edwin Jackson.

Claiming two wins over the first seven outings in the Regular Season, the team controlled by four-time NBA champion turned executive Tony Parker is currently two games outside the Play-In Showdown zone of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. A 5-2 tally in Betclic Elite is tied for second.

Spending the majority of his professional career in the NBA and focusing on rehab from left knee surgery over several of the most recent campaigns, Roberson is a veteran of 333 appearances with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Brooklyn Nets.
