Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv lost to Virtus Segafredo Bologna on the road in Round 8 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, during which the team’s center, Jasiel Rivero, sustained an injury.
The Tel Aviv team provided an update on his condition, announcing that he will be out for two to three weeks with a minor hamstring tear.
“Jasiel Rivero, who was injured toward the end of the game against Virtus Bologna, underwent an MRI scan. He has a minor tear in his hamstring and will be re-evaluated at the end of this week. Rivero is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks,” per Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Rivero is in his second year with the Israeli powerhouse, and so far this season, the Cuban big man has averaged 11.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in the EuroLeague.
