With a fever at the airport, Lorenzo Brown was a last-minute scratch for the trip to Bologna on Thursday morning.

The 34-year-old guard instead stayed in Athens and will miss the game between Panathinaikos Aktor and Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Unipol Arena on Friday.

After arriving at the Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos according to the initial schedule alongside his teammates and members of the coaching staff, he was ruled out from boarding the plane due to illness.

Marius Grigonis (back) and Kostas Antetokounmpo (knee) remain on the injury list for Round 10 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. In addition, Kostas Sloukas (shoulder) was labeled as questionable by head coach Ergin Ataman.

“He did not practice after the game,” the Turkish specialist referred to the meeting with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in OAKA Altion on Tuesday, “We will see in practice tonight. If he is OK, he will be on the court tomorrow. But he needs time.”

Brown tallied 8.3 points, 3.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest over nine appearances in Europe’s premier club continental competition, including six points and five assists against his former team.

Held to five assists and zero points opposite Maccabi, Sloukas has 6.6 points, 4.2 assists, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.4 steals per contest over nine games.

The win at the top end of the double-game week lifted the defending EuroLeague champions to 6-3, one game behind the leaders, FC Barcelona and Fenerbahce Beko.
