Anadolu Efes appointed Gokce Dayi as the General Manager.
The team based in Istanbul announced the successor of Alper Yilmaz on Tuesday.
From CBO & Marketing/Corporate Affairs Manager, Dayi becomes the next GM of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague club. He has working with the Anadolu Group for nearly 20 years, including 12 with Efes.
Yilmaz, 49, was confirmed as the new sports director of the Turkish Basketball Federation, TBF, upon his departure. A former player of Efes Pilsen, he served as sports director between 2009 and 2015 and was the General Manager over the last nine years.
Behind a 6-4 start in the Regular Season, the team coached by Tomislav Mijatovic ranks eighth in the EuroLeague standings, two games safe in the Play-In Showdown zone and one game away from the top six seeds guaranteeing a direct ticket to the Playoffs. In Round 11, Paris visits Istanbul’s Basketball Development Center on Thursday.
In the 2024-25 installment of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi, Efes is tied with Fenerbahce Beko at 6-1. Following a clash on Sunday, the Istanbul rivals follow undefeated Tofas, sharing second place on the table. In Round 8 of the Regular Season on December 1, Efes is up against Turk Telekom at home.
Salih Altuntas, Rodrigue Beaubois, Elijah Bryant, Justus Hollatz, Stanley Johnson, Shane Larkin, Jordan Nwora, Ridvan Oncel, Ercan Osmani, Daniel Oturu, Dogus Ozdemiroglu, Vincent Poirier, Rolands Smits, Darius Thompson, Derek Willis, Burak Can Yildizli, and Erkan Yilmaz are on the roster.
