Nemanja Nedovic resumed practices and is set to play for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet against Partizan Mozzart Bet in Belgrade Arena on Thursday.
Previewing the Round 11 affair of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season on Wednesday, head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos confirmed positive updates for injured players, including the 33-year-old guard.
“Nedovic just started training. [Milos] Teodosic did not train yesterday. However, I hope everyone will be ready for tomorrow except [Joel] Bolomboy,” he said.
Nedovic has been on the injury list since Round 9 of the EuroLeague Regular Season and an early exit from the away contest versus AS Monaco. Over eight appearances in the 2024-25 edition of Europe’s premier club continental competition, he averaged 10.0 points, 3.0 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.9 rebounds per game.
“He is in the second part of rehab,” the Greek tactician added on the 30-year-old center sidelined with an injury in his right knee for the last four weeks, “He is working steadily with the medical staff. I can’t predict a return date.”
On the opposite end of the Belgrade derby, Tyrique Jones, Vanja Marinkovic, and Mario Nakic are expected to resurface from the injury list. Therefore, all players will be available for head coach Zeljko Obradovic.
Over the first ten EuroLeague outings, Zvezda built a balanced 5-5 tally, narrowly fitting at the bottom end of the Play-In Showdown zone, one game away from the three following teams on the standings. Partizan has been limited to 2-8.
