After almost two months in China, Thomas Heurtel is leaving the Shenzhen Aviators, and the last chapter of his career is expected to be written in Europe.
The 35-year-old French guard has already secured his release from the Chinese team, which has a 0-5 record with Heurtel registering more than impressive numbers, having an average of 18.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 8.5 apg, and 2 steals per contest.
In his best game, the 121-109 defeat by Quinday, Heurtel scored 25 points, dished 15 assists, grabbed five rebounds, and had four steals, proving that despite the level of competition, he remains on top form.
With many EuroLeague teams on the market for a point guard, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him back in the top European competition, considering also the fact that he is local for the French clubs. However, he already has also and other offers on his hands, including from VTB, where in the past few years he played with Zenith Saint Petersburg.
