Baskonia placed Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot on the injury list.
The 29-year-old French winger picked up an injury in his left leg during Round 11 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season and a clash with Olympiacos in the Peace and Friendship Stadium, SEF.
Upon the return to Vitoria-Gasteiz following Thursday’s game in Greece, medical tests confirmed the injury. He subsequently started rehab to return to action as soon as possible.
Resuming action on Thursday via Round 12 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, the team guided by Pablo Laso visits Zalgiris in Zalgirio Arena. At 4-7, Baskonia trails the Play-In Showdown zone by one game.
A 3-5 start in Spain’s Liga Endesa is one game away from the top eight seeds leading to the 2025 ACB Playoffs. The next game is at home against Valencia in Round 9 of the Regular Season on Sunday.
Since joining Baskonia during the offseason, the native of Cannes tallied 8.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest over 11 EuroLeague appearances, including eight starts. He added 11.3 points per ACB game over eight appearances.
Earlier experience includes 345 games played in the NBA between the Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Philadelphia 76ers between 2016 and 2022. He was selected with the 24th overall pick of the 2016 draft by the Sixers.
Back in Europe, he played for LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 editions of the EuroLeague.
