The EHCB Coaches Academy is entering its 5th year, continuously growing stronger. Many former EuroLeague players have joined, eager to learn from the masterminds of the game.

The latest to join the 5th generation is three-time EuroLeague champion and current Toronto Raptors assistant coach, Mike Batiste.

Former Panathinaikos star started his coaching career in 2014 as an assistant coach in the NBA G League, and has since been a part of coaching staffs of many overseas teams, such as the Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards, and Houston Rockets.

Before him, another former EuroLeague champion, two-time winner of the top continental competition and former Anadolu Efes captain, Dogus Balbay, applied for the EHCB Coaches Academy, ready to learn from the best in the game.

Also part of the 5th generation will be former sharpshooter of Khimki, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich, and current head coach of the New Zealand Breakers, Petteri Koponen.

EuroLeague legend Kyle Hines, who started his coaching career this summer as the development assistant with the Brooklyn Nets, also became one of the newest students of the EHCB Coaches Academy, as well as Maccabi Tel Aviv’s experienced point guard, John DiBartolomeo, and former Baskonia’s and now Paris’ swingman Daulton Hommes.

Before them, ASVEL star and former NBA player Theo Maledon became the first active EuroLeague player and ELBA member in the 5th generation of the EHCB Coaches Academy.
