Moses Wright will not be able to help Olympiacos for the rest of the team, due to an undisclosed medical condition.
Team manager Christos Bafes officially confirmed the long-rumored news, while speaking to the media after the game with Paris: “It’s a purely medical issue, he’s fine, he’ll be with us but he’ll be out for the whole season.”
It’s not a secret that Olympiacos is examining the market for a possible reinforcement in the paint and the need to get a backup center is now confirmed.
Coach Giorgos Bartzokas explained during the press conference: “With Moses Wright out for the rest of the season, we have to make a decision. We had four games and a huge workload, we were looking at players and the market because we needed to get a player. It’s a difficult period, there’s not a pool of 20 players to get the best one. We want someone with European experience, who is not out of competition. I believe we will make a good choice to help the team.”
The Greek club faced Paris with only Nikola Milutinov available in the five position since Moustapha Fall was also injured.
