Fenerbahce was heading to Madrid on a two-game losing streak, having suffered two straight defeats at home against Milan and on the road against Baskonia. They bounced back dragged by their star.

Nigel Hayes-Davis’ 33-point night in Madrid was by far his best-scoring performance in the 2024-25 EuroLeague Regular Season. In the 82-70 away victory by Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team, he shot 6/9 from two, 6/10 from beyond the arc, and 3/4 in free throws. All this for 30 of PIR.

“I tried to let the game come to me against Milan and Nikola [Mirotic] embarrassed me, I tried to do the same thing in Baskonia and we got embarrassed as a team, so I wanted to show what I have learned from those lessons”, the yellow-and-blue superstar commented.

Thus far this season, the soon-to-be 30-year-old forward is averaging 17.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, shooting 51.7% from two-point range, 49.4% from three, and 82.1% at the line.

Nigel Hayes-Davis didn’t have the highest PIR performance in the EuroLeague Round 14, as Will Clyburn (38 PIR vs Crvena Zvezda), Evan Fournier (34 PIR vs Paris Basketball), and Chima Moneke (31 PIR vs Bayern Munich). However, their teams all lost and they couldn’t be eligible for MVP of the Round.
