Ahead of the Tel Aviv derby against Hapoel Shlomo (20:00 CET) in Israeli championship, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv announced that Jasiel Rivero will be out for four to six weeks due to a hamstring tear.

This marks Rivero’s second hamstring injury of the season, as he missed three games at the beginning of November.

The Cuban center has been averaging 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists for a 14.6 PIR in the EuroLeague this season.

David DeJulius is also out for the clash against Hapoel due to illness.

With 4 wins and 10 losses, Maccabi is currently 16th in the EuroLeague standings, while Oded Kattash’s team holds a 6-1 record and sits in fourth place in the domestic championship.
