Euroleague Basketball issues a fine of 34,000 euros to Partizan

Partizan Mozzart Bet was on the receiving end of a fine amounting to 34,000 euros.

Euroleague Basketball announced the sanction on Wednesday afternoon.

Per the press release: “Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade has been sanctioned with fines amounting to €34,000 for failure to adopt the necessary preventive measures to avoid disturbances during a game and for incidents caused by its fans during its Round 14 home game against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens under 29.1.h), 29.2.f) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

A winning display against the defending champions in Round 14 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season improved the team coached by Zeljko Obradovic to 6-8. Heading to Round 15 and a meeting with ALBA Berlin in Uber Arena on Thursday evening, the W-L tally trails the Play-In Showdown zone by one game.

In additional disciplinary decisions announced by Euroleague Basketball, a fine of 6,000 euros was issued to Buducnost VOLI for incidents during Round 10 of the BKT EuroCup Regular Season.

Per the press release: “Buducnost VOLI Podgorica has been sanctioned with a fine of €6,000 for the throwing of objects on to the playing court during its Round 10 home game against Besiktas Fibabanka Istanbul under 29.2.g) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

Being edged out by Besiktas Fibabanka was followed by a loss against Dreamland Gran Canaria on Wednesday. The team based in Podgorica fell to 4-7, two games away from the sixth seed in Group A and a ticket to the Eighthfinals.
