Anadolu Efes dominated defending champions Panathinaikos to secure their eighth win of the 2024/25 EuroLeague season.

Jordan Nwora was among the best in Tomislav Mijatović’s team, almost reaching a double-double with 15 points and eight rebounds, playing one of his best games since arriving in Istanbul from the NBA.

It’s been tough at times, with ups and downs. The game is different from what I’m used to. I’m still adjusting, and I think once I fully figure it out, I’ll be a great player in this league. I’m super confident in myself and my team,” Nwora said to Eurohoops about his first months in European basketball.

Luckily for him, he has great help from another former NBA player, Shane Larkin, who over the years has become one of the standout EuroLeague figures.

He’s been great. He shares his thoughts. He said that he experienced what I am experiencing right now during his first year in Europe. He also knows that once it clicks, it’s gonna click. He talks to me every day.”

Nwora is showing signs of improvement, and his scoring ability is beginning to have a bigger and bigger influence on Anadolu Efes‘ performances and results.

I’m one of the best scorers in Europe. Our team is so talented that any guy can do it any night. It’s not like every set is coming my way. Shane can go off—one of the best players in the league—Elijah’s having a great season, Dan… We got guys that can do it every night, which makes us good.”

He believes Anadolu Efes has reached “maybe 50 percent” of its full potential and sees the victory over Panathinaikos as “a step in the right direction.

We have a team with serious potential that can even reach the Final Four. It’s just about getting things clicking,” Jordan Nwora concluded, talking to Eurohoops.
