Barcelona lost the Olimpia Milano game in the third quarter, allowing the opponent to go on a 28-5 run, which gave them an huge lead and eventually the victory over the Catalan team at Palau Blaugrana.

In the aftermath, Barcelona’s forward Justin Anderson spoke about the internal reaction of the team after the tough loss.

We had a good day watching the film, recognizing what we need to do better and improve. As players, we made some glaring mistakes in the third quarter, and we took accountability and ownership for that. One thing I can say about this team is that when we have tough losses like that, typically we respond really well. After Panathinaikos, we responded well and played tougher and more physically against Maccabi. We respond after these games,” Anderson said to Eurohoops.

He wants to take as many lessons as possible from the defeat and insists he felt the energy from his team to show immediate reaction.

You can feel the energy; guys are angry, and we know that we should not have lost the game in that manner. This next game is important to focus on, to focus on the details. We are not forgetting about this game; this is not the game you flush and move on from. Our energy was more together as we figured out the solution with our coaches and the team. Tomorrow, we look forward to getting back on the winning track and playing together,” the former NBA player concluded.
