It’s no news that Partizan and Panathinaikos share a close and meaningful relationship and another reason to strengthen their collaboration is coming in 2025.

As Partizan’s president Ostoja Mijailovic confirmed in an interview with Mozzart Sport, the black-and-white powerhouse will clash with the reigning EuroLeague champions in a special friendly game organized in Australia.

“It is a unique project. It should last for years, not just one tournament. We are negotiating to organize tournaments every year around the world where there are Greek and Serbian citizens”, he opened.

“There are several million Greeks living in Australia, and there are also a lot of Serbs. Both clubs have great international potential, fans pay tens of millions of euros for tickets. People may not realize how expensive it is to make everything work every month”, Partizan’s president then explained.

He also spoke about the value of income from such occasions. “The clubs have to earn their money They can’t beg, they need their own income. One of the projects is with Panathinaikos”, Mijailovic followed.

Partizan was one of the teams involved by Panathinaikos, alongside Anadolu Efes and Maccabi Tel Aviv, in the special Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament held in the historic site of the Panathenaic Stadium.
