Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in the ACB League’s El Clásico, but Gabriel Deck suffered an injury midway through the third quarter and did not return to the court.
Head coach Chus Mateo described it as “an ugly injury,” and according to Carlos Sánchez Blas, Deck sustained a significant hamstring muscle tear.
One day later, the club officially confirmed the reports, stating that Deck would be out of action for the next two months.
Real Madrid‘s primary goal was for Deck to recover in time for the Copa del Rey, scheduled from February 13th to 16th in Gran Canaria. However, this scenario is out of the table.
This season, Deck played all 18 EuroLeague games, averaging 9.6 points and 3.4 rebounds, while in the ACB League, he appeared in 13 matches, averaging 10.8 points and 4.2 rebounds.
