Despite his recent injury, Mathias Lessort will stay with Panathinaikos for the long run.

The club officially announced that the French big man has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2028.

Per Eurohoops sources, Lessort will get a total of 8.3 million euros for the next three seasons, an annual net salary of 2,75 million.

Lessort is one of the key players of the defending champions and a member of last season’s All-EuroLeague team. He got injured on the 19th of December, however, the contract extension talks have been already initiated.

The French international may return to the court before the end of the season, helping Panathinaikos to defend the EuroLeague crown.

In any case, Lessort emerged last season as one of the best, if not the best center in the EuroLeague, and the new contract reflects his value.

He is also a member of the French national team, winning the silver Olympic medal in the Paris 2024 games.
