Crvena Zvezda escaped even to a 17-point lead towards the end of the third quarter but managed to get away with the victory from Vitoria’s Fernando Buesa Arena only with a game-winner at the end.
Isaiah Canaan had the decisive two points for the Serbians. “[I just tried] to take what they give me. Clearly I couldn’t make a three tonight”, he reflected on his 1-of-8 night.
“But I was fortunate enough to see the basket, get down there to the lane, and get it up on the rim. The team did a good job of finding me late”, Crvena Zvezda‘s guard continued in the post-game.
“We’ve got a goal, every game matters to us. We’re trying to get there, as long as we continue to play a full 40-minute game, continue to stay together, keep fighting, we can play with the best of them”, he added.

Joel Bolomboy emphasized Zvezda’s turnovers
Isaiah Canaan wasn’t the only protagonist for his team; Joel Bolomboy also made a significant contribution with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
“We’re really happy about the win. These are the games that matter the most. Had we lost this, it would have been a different story,” he opened.
“But we gotta get better from games and nights like this, we’ve got to put away when we have a good lead, stay focused, execute better offensively, and eliminate the turnovers”, he added.
