Barcelona got a big win in Paris, however, in the press conference, it was only natural to ask coach Joan Penarroya about the curious case of Thomas Heurtel who arrived with his family in Barcelona only to learn that his deal with the club was off.
Considering that Barcelona was playing in France, the local press was ready to ask, but coach Penarroya didn’t want to give any details about the incident from his side: “For me, it’s important only what’s on the court. Today is a difficult day for everybody but it’s not a moment to answer, it’s not a question for me”.
Penarroya who is not fluent in English, tried to explain that his focus is only on his present players and on the task of the games ahead of him: “Our team worked well, we are a big club, with a lot of news, and a lot of situations but our focus for the moment is only on the games. Tonight we played a very good game, it’s a good victory for us but in 30 hours we will have another important game in our domestic league against Joventut, then Girona and Monaco. Our focus is only to play basketball, to rest well, and to prepare a little for our next game”.
Even when he was asked if the team is on the market for another point guard, Penarroya smiled and said without any specifics: “The attitude is perfect”.
