Former Partizan Belgrade and Minnesota Timberwolves player P.J. Dozier has agreed to play for Anadolu Efes until the end of the season, Eurohoops sources can confirm.

The U.S. swingman was recently waived by the Minneapolis team in the NBA and is now returning to Europe to play EuroLeague with the Istanbul outfit.

Dozier had a solid rookie EuroLeague season with Partizan, averaging 9.2 points, 3.1 assists, and three rebounds in 33 appearances, and made it back to the NBA by signing a deal with the Timberwolves last summer.

However, after just nine appearances and 3.9 minutes per game, Minnesota decided to waive the 28-year-old player from South Carolina, opening the opportunity for European clubs.

Therefore, Dozier is set to be the first signing of newly appointed Anadolu Efes head coach Luca Banchi.

Greek journalist George Zakkas first reported that the American guard/small forward was negotiating with the Turkish team.
