Mike Daum of Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet is expected to stay on the injury list for at least one month.

He underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, the team announced on Thursday.

The former South Dakota State standout averaged 6.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.2 assists, and 0.2 steals per contest over 18 appearances, including 15 starts in the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.

“I’ll be back soon,”  the player reacted to the setback via a post on his X account.

After introducing himself to Europe’s premier club continental competition by logging 11 appearances with Anadolu Efes in the 2023-24 Regular Season, the Nebraska native moved his talents to the capital of Serbia during the offseason. Earlier in his professional career, he played for Bertram Derthona Tortona and Monbus Obradoiro.

Daum, 29, last played in late December but without an update on his injury status. Last Sunday, he was among the players unavailable for head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos in Round 15 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season. Branko Lazic also missed the home game versus FMP Soccerbet and his side jumping to 13-2 in the regional league.

Heading to Round 20 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, the 35-year-old guard remains out for the game against Paris in Belgrade Arena on Friday. In contrast to the above teammates, Isaiah Canaan and Yago Dos Santos are expected to return to action.

With 15 fixtures remaining in the Regular Season, Zvezda at 11-8 is tied with FC Bayern Munich in sixth place, the lowest seed handing a direct ticket to the Playoffs.
