After one of the worst patches in the club’s history, Barcelona bounced back with a big win over Monaco on the road.

Of course, Vassilis Spanoulis wasn’t pleased with his team’s performance, and he made it clear in his postgame comments.

Congratulations to Barca; they were better than us. We were always one or two steps behind. It was a bad game for us, and we got what we deserved. We were always reacting, as if we expected it to be an easy game. I don’t know why. We were not mentally and physically present. I’m very disappointed with our defense and our approach to the game. It’s my responsibility to solve the problem,” Spanoulis said and continued:

We had a really bad game and didn’t want to play together. Overall, it was a bad game, both offensively and defensively.

However, Spanoulis is not putting his head down.

We won so many games, but we had a bad one. We need to see what happened, what to correct, and then move on. This is the EuroLeague.

After the loss to Barcelona, Monaco is 13-7 in the EuroLeague standings. For the next three games, they will be on the road, facing Bayern Munich, Crvena Zvezda, and Virtus Bologna.

Every game matters in the EuroLeague, and in France, every game is important,” Spanoulis concluded.
