Confirming recent reports, P.J. Dozier signed with Anadolu Efes.
The Istanbul outfit officially announced the addition of the 28-year-old combo guard on Sunday.
The South Carolina product penned a contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. Upon registering the newcomer in respective squads, Dozier can play in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi.
After introducing himself in Europe’s premier club continental competition with Partizan Mozzart Bet during the 2023-24 campaign, he started the ongoing season with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. Logging nine appearances, he upped his total to 145, besides tallying 0.8 points, 0.6 assists, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.1 steals in approximately four minutes per contest.
Last season with the team based in Belgrade, he went for 9.2 points, 3.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 0.2 blocks per game over 33 appearances, including 22 features in the starting lineup of legendary head coach Zeljko Obradovic.
The next assignment, under the guidance of Italian tactician Luca Banchi, meets Efes at 10-10 in the EuroLeague, one game outside the Play-In Showdown zone. At the domestic level, a 10-3 record trails leader Fenerbahce Beko by two games. Displaying his talents in the AdmiralBet ABA League, he tallied 7.7 points and 3.1 assists per game.
Rodrigue Beaubois, Elijah Bryant, Stanley Johnson, Shane Larkin, Jordan Nwora, Ridvan Oncel, Ercan Osmani, Daniel Oturu, Dogus Ozdemiroglu, Vincent Poirier, Rolands Smits, Darius Thompson, Derek Willis, Burak Can Yildizli, and Erkan Yilmaz are among his new teammates.
