Partizan’s point guard Carlik Jones named EuroLeague MVP of Round 22

Dragging Partizan Belgrade on the road while being supported by a black-and-white wave of fans in the stands of Unipol Forum, Carlik Jones emerged as the Serbian club’s leader in Milan.

Going very close to a huge double-double with 24 points and 9 assists, grabbing also 3 rebounds and 3 steals, Partizan’s No.2 shot 9/11 from two-point range and 6/7 at the line.

He concluded with a competition-high 37 in PIR, being named EuroLeague MVP in Round 22.

“Playing in transition and getting stops, against one of the most lethal teams in transition: that’s what we did to start the second half and get a run going. We kept getting tops after stops and executing on offense”, he said in the post-game flash interview.

Playing in his first EuroLeague Regular Season, the 27-year-old point guard with former NBA experience has been delivering for Zeljko Obradovic’s team at 13.1 points and 5.2 assists per game.
