From the top of the 2024-25 journey, injuries have emerged as a constant companion to EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. Round 16 of Italy’s LBA UnipolSai Regular Season created even more problems for the team coached by Ettore Messina.

Besides Fabien Causeur, Nenad Dimitrijevic, Ousmane Diop and Josh Nebo ruled out for the meeting with Umana Reyer Venice due to injuries, Zach LeDay, Nikola Mirotic, Leandro Bolmaro were hurt during the game.

“Injuries are a big problem for us now,” mentioned Messina countering his side falling to 10-6 in the domestic league, two games behind the top of the standings with 14 fixtures remaining in the schedule of the Regular Season.

Mirotic, 33, did not play in the last quarter due to an undisclosed injury but stayed on the bench supporting his teammates.

Bolmaro, 24, suffered the setback midway through the fourth quarter amid unsuccessful efforts to slow down the hosts in Palasport Taliercio.

LeDay, 30, went down with a left shoulder in the final minutes of the contest and will be re-evaluated as soon as possible, as noted by Messina.

Pending updates on injured players, Olimpia Milan moves to Round 23 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season and a clash with Anadolu Efes in Istanbul’s Basketball Development Center on Thursday.

Carrying a 12-10 W-L tally, Scarpette Rosse fit inside the Play-In Showdown zone, one game away from the top six spots leading directly to the Playoffs and the bottom eight signaling elimination.
