Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet revealed a recent disciplinary decision of Euroleague Basketball concerning multiple fines on the team.

The penalties issued by the judge, concerning a home game against AS Monaco in Round 22 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season last Friday, combine for 11,000 euros, as noted by the Belgrade outfit on Thursday.

The sanctions were separated by a fine of 2,500 euros for the use of a laser and a fine of 8,500 euros for throwing several objects, such as plastic bottles and coins, on the court during the game in Belgrade Arena.

An overtime win against La Roca Team eventually improved the tally of the team coached by Giannis Sfairopoulos to 13-9. In a tie between five teams, stretching from third place to the top seed leading to the Play-In Showdown, Zvezda resumes the continental campaign by taking on Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall later Thursday. Twelve fixtures are left in the schedule of the Regular Season.

Beyond the EuroLeague, ongoing efforts in the regional journey amount to a 14-3 record and third place in the standings. With 13 games remaining in the regular-season schedule, they trail leaders Partizan Mozzart Bet and Buducnost VOLI by one game.

Last season, Zvezda combined the seventh ABA championship in team history with domestic titles in Serbia’s AdmiralBet Basketball League and the Radivoj Korac Cup, besides ranking 16th in the EuroLeague with an 11-23 run in the Regular Season.
