Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv snapped their four-game losing streak in the EuroLeague by defeating Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet in Round 23 at Belgrade’s Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, their home away from home this season.

Blatt contributed 14 points, six rebounds, and four assists for Oded Kattash’s team, and after the game, he shared his thoughts on the match.

I feel good. We really needed this win to start building momentum from here. I thought we played well on both sides—defensively and offensively—and yeah, I’m happy with the win,” Blatt said.

Maccabi now holds a 6-17 record in the EuroLeague standings.

It’s been really, really tough for us. Our schedule has been incredibly demanding. Sure, we have reasons, but our focus is on moving forward, trying to get as many wins as we can, and continuing to build chemistry as a team.

Blatt believes this was one of Maccabi’s best performances of the season.

For sure, one of the best games because we played really good defense. We stopped them at 73 points, and I mean, it’s really good. I’m happy. I’m happy with the win.

The 27-year-old point guard and his teammates have shown they are not lacking motivation despite their current position in the standings, and they are steadily improving as the season progresses.

Our practices have been better, more intense. You know, we’re pushing each other. We won the quarterfinals of the cup a few days ago, and we also had a good game there defensively. And yeah, we’re trying to continue like this.

He also spoke about Crvena Zvezda, which now holds a 13-10 record after losing to Maccabi in the Serbian capital.

They’re a great team. They have a lot of talent, a good coach, and especially, you know, playing at home. 20,000 fans are a big influence, and yeah, for sure, in this EuroLeague, anybody has a chance,” Tamir Blatt concluded.
