After a short run with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, David DeJulius moved to Bursaspor Yorsan.
The 25-year-old point guard signed a contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, his new side announced on Friday.
A fifth new challenge midway through his second professional campaign, including a third new team in the 2024-25 journey, leads DeJulius to the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi. The team coached by Serhan Kavut is currently tied for 10th in the BSL standings at 7-11, sitting inside the Play-In zone. Looking to clinch a berth in the Playoffs, twelve fixtures are left in the schedule of the Regular Season.
Following an NCAA career split between Cincinnati and Michigan, the native of Detroit explored overseas options and started his professional career with Lavrio. Moving to BG Gottingen midway through the 2023-24 campaign, he went from Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League to Germany’s easyCredit BBL and the FIBA Europe Cup. In 2024-25, he started with Aris Midea in Greece and the BKT EuroCup, before switching to Maccabi and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
Struggling to fit in the plans of head coach Oded Kattash, he averaged 4.0 points, 1.0 assists, and 0.8 rebounds per EuroLeague contest, coming off the bench in 15 games with the Yellows. He previously tallied 14.3 points and 2.7 assists per contest over six EuroCup appearances with Aris.
The next assignment is limited to domestic action since Bursaspor was eliminated in the Regular Season of the Europe Cup.
