Lonnie Walker IV sent a farewell message to Zalgiris Kaunas and the fans of the team as he’s leaving the EuroLeague to return to the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Here’s what Walker wrote on his Instagram:

First of all to the city of Kaunas and the Zalgiris fan I want to thank everyone so much for welcoming me with open arms. The amount of love and support I received from you guys since day 1 is something I will cherish for the rest of my life! I grew so much during this time of solitude and can’t be grateful enough. I will forever love Zalgiris for everything they done for me to the organization and especially my teammates. Forever gonna represent the city of Kaunas. As many know my goal was to get back to the NBA. This is the first step of many but excited with what the future holds. I never been this close to home coming from Reading , Pa. I will cherish this and represent the hometeam! I’m super excited to be in Philly and truly am thankful for the 76ers organization for giving me another chance in the league. Always bet on yourself. Self belief is the best belief. The best is yet to come stay tune!

Walker signed with the Philadelphia 76ers exercising an NBA out clause he had in his contract with the Zalgiris. He’s returning to the NBA for his seventh season in the league after stints with the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.

During his spell with Zalgiris, Walker averaged 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 22:17 minutes over 19 EuroLeague games.
