Paris Basketball didn’t have a perfect night, but TJ Shorts was more than enough and got what he wanted.

The French side prevailed 93-88 over Bayern Munich after a really intense game, with Shorts finishing the night with 27 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

“Everybody stepped up tonight. EuroLeague is tough and at this point of the season it’s about protecting the home court, we did that tonight. [Bayern] is playing an incredible season”, he commented in the post-game.

Maodo Lo added 14 points, Paris made 11 out of 31 threes and held on until the end against Bayern.

Carsen Edwards scored 29 points, Andreas Obst had 20, and it was not enough for the visiting side, which dropped to 16-11, while the French improved to 16-10, having one game less, and has the tie breaker over the Germans, who had one three less (10/31).

Paris having a constant advantage

The home side had a great start in the night, leading 23-15 after the first period and 47-38 at halftime.

However, Bayern scored 30 points in the third period, just eight less than all of the first half, and trimmed Paris’ lead to three points (71-68).

Still, by tooth and claw, the home side didn’t lose their lead until the end, despite Bayern’s pressure.

On the contrary, the Germans were down by five (91-86) entering the last minute, and both Edwards and Obst missed two threes, which could have altered the course of the night.

“We played hard, TJ Shorts, Maodo Lo, the whole guards got to the paint. We had a couple of possessions with layup missed, but it’s basketball: it happens.” Gordon Herbert commented.
