Experienced Barcelona point guard, Nicolás Laprovittola, is currently focused on his recovery after suffering a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and an injury to the external meniscus in his right knee.
Despite the challenging road to recovery, the Argentine shared his optimism in a recent interview with El Suplement on Catalunya Ràdio.
“I feel good, younger. The injury has given me a big, long, and tough break, but I will be much better when I come back,” Laprovittola said.
While recovering, he also commented on the current state of Barcelona, acknowledging the challenges the team has faced this season.
“I see that we’re struggling to connect, to find consistency, and solutions. The season is very tough. Even so, we have to get up; we still have two titles to fight for. We can focus on the Euroleague or ACB playoffs, but we have to play with energy. When we put in energy, the team is a machine.”
Looking ahead, Laprovittola expressed confidence in the team’s ability to recover.
“We have a team that can finish the season well. We need to find a Palau always full and cheering us on; the team is giving it all. We need to figure out how to connect everyone so they are on the same page.”
Finally, he spoke about his future plans, both in Barcelona and in basketball.
“I still have a lot to play. This year of rest will give me more years to keep playing. If I stay at the physical and mental level, my goal is to compete in the Euroleague as much as possible. A lot of things can happen,” the Argentinian concluded, adding that he sees the city of Barcelona as a place to live for the rest of his life.
