LA Clippers‘ Bogdan Bogdanovic remains a fan favorite in Europe, not only as the captain of the Serbian national team but also as a former star of Partizan and Fenerbahce.
Having won the EuroLeague with Fenerbahce, Amerikanos24 asked Bogdanovic about his prediction for the Final Four, and his choices were the expected ones.
As he said: “Oh, God! I was so bad last year, but here we go again. I have to go with Partizan. Because they are my team, they are good. I think that as the season goes on, they will be better. Olympiacos, of course, and Panathinaikos are top contenders. Everyone wants to see this final. And I don’t know, the fourth one, I don’t think Paris can make it. I think Fenerbahce. So, I hope Fenerbahce and Partizan will be in the Final Four, but okay. It will be difficult”.
Bogdanovic also praised his former teammate in Fenerbahce and current Panathinaikos star Kostas Sloukas, who was also last season’s Final Four MVP: “Kostas Sloukas is unique. First of all, he is a true competitor. He works hard. He is one of the most professional people I have ever worked with. I remember him always being on the treadmill and running during the season at Fenerbahce when we were there. And I was amazed at the way he prepared for the game. He has a lot of things he does to mentally prepare for the game. And it is always the same incredible routine. I am talking about everything outside of basketball. because the fans know what he brings to the court. He is an amazing point guard, and that comes from the work, the dedication, and the love for the game that he has. And of course he has a competitive mentality. Without being motivated and being a competitor you cannot achieve anything”.
