Since when he dominated the Basketball Champions League with Telekom Baskets Bonn in the 2022-23 season, TJ Shorts put the whole European basketball landscape on notice. Doing the same in last season’s EuroCup with Paris, he moved up to the EuroLeague with high hopes.

Adjusting rapidly to the highest rank of European basketball, Paris Basketball’s leader continued shining, as he proved once again in this week’s 92-79 home win by the French side against Milan.

The 27-year-old guard with a North Macedonian passport had a fantastic double-double of 24 points and 10 assists, grabbing 6 rebounds and stealing the ball twice as well, finishing with a 37-PIR performance to lead his team at home. Nobody registered a higher PIR, as he was named MVP of Round 30.

His performance impressed even Ettore Messina, head coach of the opposing team this past Wednesday. “Obviously, TJ Shorts dominated the game. He was outstanding. You won’t believe me but he was even fun to watch from the sidelines. Even though he was torturing us,” he commented.

In his EuroLeague rookie season, TJ Shorts has managed to get the third MVP of the Round following Round 5 (38 PIR) and Round 10 – joint with Theo Maledon (36 PIR).

Overall, Paris Basketball’s #0 continues being one of the main candidates, alongside Kendrick Nunn, Sasha Vezenkov, and Nigel Hayes-Davis, to win MVP of the Season. He’s averaging 18.8 points and 7.1 assists per game in his rookie year in the EuroLeague.
