Bandron Davies scored a season-high 22 points, Carlik Jones had 15 plus nine assists, and Isaac Bonga added 14 and made key plays.

That was more than enough for Partizan to win 85-71 against ALBA Berlin.

Thanks to this result, Partizan had a 16-15 record and a tie with Milan at the 11th and the 12th spot of the standings, hoping to just squeeze into the post season.

“The most important thing for us was to get the win, to build the momentum, we had to dig deep and we did that tonight”, said Davies after the final buzzer.

“Starting from the second quarter, we played a good game”, added coach Zeljko Obradovic.

Matt Thomas scored 16 points for the Germans, who remain last in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings with a 5-26 record.

An easy night in the end

Surprisingly, Partizan was trailing 14-13 after the first period.

ALBA even got a 20-13 lead, and that was the cue for the hosts to wake up and turn things around. The Germans proved feisty, but Isaac Bonga, with a three, gave Partizan a 40-34 halftime advantage.

Partizan extended their lead to 11 points (53-42) with three minutes left in the third period, and that moment tipped the balance of the game for good.

The score at the start of the fourth quarter was 61-56 for Partizan, thanks to two free throws and a block by Bonga.

Partizan led again by 11 (67-56) after two threes by Sterling Brown and Carlik Jones, and ALBA couldn’t be a real threat until the end.
