Panathinaikos head coach Ergin Ataman received a 10,000 fine by EuroLeague Basketball “for actions that caused the abnormal interruption of a game” in the win over ALBA Berlin.

Early in the fourth period and Panathinaikos down 66 – 71, Ataman went inside the four lines of the court while ALBA was trying to make a transition play and received a technical foul. That moment was described as a “turning point” of the game by ALBA coach Pedro Calles.

Per Euroleague:

Ergin Ataman, head coach of Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, has been sanctioned with a fine of €10,000 for actions that caused the abnormal interruption of a game on occasion of its home game against Alba Berlin under 27.2.a) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code. The decision may be appealed before the Appeals Judge.
