Panathinaikos only lost to two teams at home this EuroLeague season before facing Paris Basketball. At the end of a 40-minute battle, even the side from the French capital emerged victorious, winning 101-98.

TJ Shorts was the protagonist of another brilliant performance for Tiago Splitter’s team, going only one rebound shy of a triple-double. He had 20 points, a career-high 9 rebounds, and tied another career-high with 14 assists.

His 36-PIR performance awarded him the EuroLeague MVP of Round 32, another one in consecutive weeks. Overall, this was the fourth of such awards in his rookie campaign in the competition.

“I guess I couldn’t find more rebounds, but I’m out there trying to do whatever I can for my team. Today it was scoring, assisting, playmaking, it doesn’t matter, I’m just trying to help win,” he commented.

One battle on the court transformed into a battle for the MVP of the Round as well. After being named EuroLeague Round 31 MVP, Kendrick Nunn went close to it once again, performing the second-highest PIR of the whole league this gameday with 22 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds.

“We will never quit. We lost the last one against Fenerbahce in a heartbreaking way, and for us to be able to respond like this two days later is huge. It just shows the fight within our team,” TJ Shorts added.
