Niels Giffey has agreed to a contract extension with FC Bayern Munich, keeping him with the team until the summer of 2027, as officially announced.
The 33-year-old forward is in his third season with the club, having already won two cups and the league title in the previous season.
“I’m extremely happy to remain part of the team for another two years. If the core of the squad stays together, I strongly believe that we can continue to grow year by year and keep aiming for big goals in the future,” Giffey said.
In the BBL, the 2023 World Cup champion with Germany is averaging 8.7 points per game, while in the EuroLeague, he contributes an average of six points and two rebounds in just over 17 minutes per game.
