Kevin Punter is staying with Barcelona for three more seasons.

According to Eurohoops sources, Punter is signing a three-year deal with the Catalan team worth €12 million gross. Barcelona officially confirmed the deal and per club sources, while the gross amount of the contract is 12 millions, due to taxes, his net salary is 250.000 euros less annually than this season.

The former Olimpia Milano and Partizan player signed a one-year contract last summer. Still, his performance was so impressive that Barcelona had already decided to offer him a new deal.

The American scorer has clearly found the right environment to thrive, feeling strong and embracing a leadership role with the Blaugrana.

At 32, Punter is set to sign a career-defining contract, as he will be 35 when it expires, making him one of the highest-paid players in the EuroLeague.

He is Barcelona’s leading scorer, averaging a career-high 17.1 points per game, ranking sixth in the EuroLeague.

The U.S. guard also dishes out 3.2 assists per game—another career best—helping his team in the playmaking department, especially given injuries to Nico Laprovittola and Juan Núñez at the position. He is shooting 41% from beyond the arc, 93.6% from the free-throw line (fourth in the EuroLeague), and 54% on two-pointers.
